I love sweet basil. Great Thai food!Reasonable pricing for good food. The noodle soup that comes with lunch is amazing!Garlic beef and pad Thai are the current go to menu items for me, but everything is worth trying.
MoreThe food was pretty good! We went for my roommates birthday and she loved it. I liked it ok! The curry was good and I told them to make it spicy but it turned out pretty mild. Everyone else at the table asked for mild so maybe that had something to do with it? My friend got the fried rice and it was really good! They had a large varieties of teas but we didn’t get any but the table next to us did and it smelled really good!
MoreFavorite Thai place ever.
Love this place. Excellent Thai food halfway between so cal and Western Colorado...I love that the chef is going home so the restaurant closes...keep it authentic!!
MoreNice foods and quiet environment.
We got takeout because we enjoy a beer or wine with dinner, and they don't serve it. The sweet basil Thai curry was mildly spicy at 5 out of 10. It was very tasty and satisfactory. I thought the addition of peanuts would be nice, but peanuts have surprising intensity of flavor. Wonder if cashews might be better. Very pleasant cinnamon touch but didn't actually see cinnamon basil in the curry so probably a dried spice. Still, you should toss in bit of fresh basil. After all, basil is your namesake. Bottom line: this spot is a bit hard to find but is well worth a visit.
MoreFantastic food, fantastic service, and a very nice atmosphere. The Pineapple Fried Rice was extraordinary and the Pad Thai was excellent as well. Was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend.
MoreI am not big on Thai food , but this was really good food. I like food that is spicy and they did not disappoint me on my plate when I asked for it to be spicy.
MoreVery quick with a lot of vegetables. Weak on the meat and cashew side.
The yellow curry is the way to go! I got a heat level 5/10 and it was perfect!
I'm from out of town, but I really like Thai food and this was top notch!
Ordered to go two days ago. Ordering again today. Friendly people, food was delicious. Glass noodles, penang curry, and pad thai.
MoreAmazing food and great service.
Love this place. Food is always great, service is excellent .
What a Gem! The food was authentic, fresh and so yummy! The service was fantastic and the eating area was cozy and clean. Definitely will be going back!
MoreMy family and I love eating here. The food is really good. There were really disruptive guests talking on their speaker phone and we had to ask several times for water or napkins.
MoreFresh vegetables always clean food is excellent!
I’ve tried all the Thai food in Cedar. This one is the best. Great customer service too!
MoreThe restaurant looks authentic, but the food is not at all. The chicken noodle soup was very bland and the noodles we're not fully cooked. The seafood fried rice was supposed to be spicy but was not, despite being a 7 on a hotness level of 1 to 10. This dish didn't taste like a seafood dish at all. It was like ingredients thrown together and hurriedly cooked. The druken noodles saved the day. It was midly tasty. When we asked for fresh chillies, the waiter did not seem to understand what we were asking for. If you want authentic Thai food, go somewhere else.
MoreGood food + staff.
What a wonderful little slice of Thai heaven. THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE, felt like I was part of the family. Food was incredible, everything was made to my exact requests. I WILL BE BACK....
MoreWow! Delicious, fresh, and excellent cost. My Mom got the garlic pork lunch special and I ordered the honey sauce chicken lunch. Comes with soup of the day. Yummy! The crab rolls we ordered were fresh but meh. They were fine, but I wouldn't order those again. Otherwise, the meals were perfect! Seriously delicious and filling. Bonus: less than $8!The customer service was perfect. Very lovely experience! New favorite :)I can't believe it took me so long to try Thai food!
MoreVery warm and welcoming service. They handled our group of 8 with no issues. The Drunken Noodles were delicious, as was the appetizer soup! Highly recommend this to anyone wanting great service and even better food.
MoreGreat food, quick service, quiet atmosphere. Much better option than Applebee's.
The location is easily accessible, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and attentive, helping my wife pick out a vegetarian dish that she really enjoyed. My dish was delicious, using high quality ingredients. Portion size was good for the price. I look forward to visiting again.
MoreSlow service (We didn’t even get to order food for about 15 mins after sitting down), ordered lunch specials and never received our soups, and found a bone in my sweet basil chicken. This is the second time we’ve been in the past 2 weeks and we are thoroughly not impressed. This place has potential but needs more staffing and a better form of taking down orders.
MoreThe new menu was great
It's a local place and very convenient for us, but it was good quality and the price was reasonable.
MoreThe portions were large but the food is fairly bland as other reviewers describe.
MoreThe food was great and our server was great. However, the rudeness of the host (I believe he is a Thai man with bleached orange hair) is what sticks in my head. When my daughter asked him where the restroom is, he didn't even look up -- he just made an abrupt gesture. When we were leaving, again he didn't look up or respond to our "thanks." I was facing him the entire time -- he appears to be an unhappy person. The host is supposed to make you feel welcome. I hope the owner sees this -- even if the host is related to you, please adjust his attitude for his good, and the good of your customers and business.
MoreI don't know if it's me, or what, but I wasn't a fan. The service was great, the place clean, but everything seemed to be fish based. That wasn't for me though. If you prefer fish based Thai, you may love it. All in all, I'll avoid this place going forward, it just isn't for me.
MoreGood food. Friendly service. Accommodating to vegan lifestyle.
It's a nice little Thai shop. I really like the Yellow Curry. They ask you how hot to make it. For me, the spicier the better.
MoreReally great atmosphere, the plate looked like something you would find at a fine dining restaurant. I had the garlic squid and my girlfriend had the pad thai and we both loved it!!! 5 star recommend, will definitely eat there again!!!
MoreNot the best Thai I've had, but it was alright. You can change your spice level, which I don't always see as an option. Service was average, nothing special or exceptional. We went at a very slow time period, so it was quiet. Came because reviews said there was some hope.
MoreGreat pad thai, drunken noodle, and thai iced tea. Good portions and friendly staff. Always stop here on road trips through Cedar City! Their takeout is super reliable with the wait is only usually 20 min from when you order.
MoreWent with family. Place was nice, food was good, but portions were small and they only gave us one cup of rice per bowl of curry.
MoreWe enjoy to go out. Last night we found this excellent restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a delightful experience there with high-qulity cooking and a professional crew and a professional cook. We put this fine restaurant in our list and we shall no doubt visit again very soon. We highly recommend.
MoreSure glad I tired it out. When you need a red curry fix, you NEED a red curry fix! Great lunch specials but I though a bit pricey for dinner.
MoreVery good food. Friendly staff. Our kids enjoy the clear noodles and the fried rice.
MoreTried this place based on the positive reviews. I ordered a simple Thai noodle with vegetables dish (visually I could tell it wasn't at all authentic Thai)That would be perfectly ok, except the dish was also way too salty! If you're trying to manage your salt intake this place is not for you. On a side note the waiter seemed a but grumpy, never smiled or came by to refill my glass, and the place only had one other couple eating there for lunch. Next time I'm in Cedar City, I'll try Panda Express before coming back to this place.
MoreVery clean. Service was excellent and the flavor was amazing.
Overall really good service. The food was really good and had big portion sizes for the price.
MoreFood is excellent and fair priced for Thai in Cedar City. Service is always good and super fast! I used to LOVE their crab rolls, but I think they changed something in their recipe and they’re not made with cream cheese anymore. Mozzarella maybe? Whatever it is, save your money and don’t order them. Dining in is great, take out is always accurate, definitely a favorite of my family’s! I would suggest ordering the Fried Rice, Panang Curry, Red Curry or Pad Thai- always delicious!
MoreI have never been treated more poorly as a customer. We walked in at 8:30 and wasn’t warmly greeted. Instead it was a “we are closing soon, what do you want to order.” We decided to get our food to go and we were still treated poorly. Our server was incredibly rude and when I called her out on it, she gave me the bird and walked away! I will never be back and I discourage others from supporting a business that allows their employees to treat patrons in such a way. They are getting one star because we still got food.
MoreThe food here is so delicious!
This is the best Thai food restaurant in Cedar City. It looks a little shady from the outside, but it is seriously so delicious.
MoreThe Pad Thai was delicious!! Little spicier than I hoped for (asked for a 1 because I like my Pad Thai more savory than spicy) and it made my nose run. Generally I don’t like spicy food, but the flavor was so good I couldn’t stop. Tried both Thai places in Cedar and this was my favorite by far. Service was very slow and they didn’t refill my water at all (I’m a wimp, so the spice was killing me) and I was disappointed in that or I would have given them 5 stars.
MoreWhen I'm in Cedar City, I always want to eat at Sweet Basil. It's not the most amazing Thai food, nor is it the most authentic, but it's tasty and the service is good. They put peanut butter in their panang, which is a delicious twist on my favorite curry.
MoreBest Thai food in Southern Utah. The Tom gar kai soup, perfect. The garlic chicken awesome. Delicious homecooking food not from a can and very nice people.
